My name is Nick, I’m a Mechatronic / IT Engineer based in Leeds, UK.
Day to day, I’m a ServiceNow developer at the University of Leeds, working across CMDB, Service Portal, and Flow Designer. Outside of that, most of my spare time goes into a fairly sprawling homelab — Home Assistant, Zigbee, a Bobcat Helium miner, and a growing collection of self-built HA add-ons — alongside 3D printing (currently a heavily modified Tronxy P802M running a tuned Marlin build) and the odd bit of PCB and electronics design.
I hold a BEng & MEng in Mechatronics & Robotics from the University of Leeds.
This blog is mostly a record of whatever I’ve been building or fixing lately — expect a mix of Home Assistant integrations, 3D printer tuning, homelab tinkering, and the occasional Linux rabbit hole. Feel free to have a read and get in touch if you’d like any info on anything, or if you have any potential job opportunities you think I might be a good fit for.
