My Hassio Core Setup

I’ve run Hassio from RPi devices in the past and have been adequately happy with the performance.

With my latest iteration of HomeAssistant, I planned to really push the limits of what I could do, using it as a test bed for many trial systems, and therefore wanted to have suitable hardware backing the instance.

I decided to use a VirtualBox VM on my windows 10 desktop PC.

The VM is allocated 12GB of RAM and is allowed to use all 8 Logical processors that my Xeon Machine has available. My host machine has a total of 32GB of RAM so this should not cause any issues on the host.

The setup is of course connected via Ethernet directly to my LAN with approx 480Mbps internet conenction.
